Asset is a listed underlying on the basis of which a binary option is made. An asset always has a quantifiable value and a current price chart. A change in the chart is what decides whether an option is effective or not. Each market has different assets, for instance the currency market has a currency pair (e.g. EUR/USD), while the equity market’s asset is the value of the company’s share (e.g. Microsoft, Google), for stock market indices an asset is the price of the index (e.g. FTSE, S&P 500 or Nikkei), and for the commodity market an asset is salt, petroleum or gas.
